Pam Performs at Benefit for Haiti
Dutch rockabilly-icon Danny Vera has come up with the idea of a charityshow to raise money for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.
On Giro 555 (national bankaccount) the Dutch people already raised an amazing 100,6 million euro (150 million USD). That is a huge amount for this tiny country but it is never enough. There are so many needy people in Haiti and every euro counts.
Musical friends from three countries will joined him when he performed on Sunday 7th of Febuary at Theater de Pas in Heesch, near Oss, The Netherlands. The openingact is a young local band called Madison Avenue. With their average age of 16 these rising Dutch stars will play special pop/rock covers and a few of there own songs.
In a two hour show Danny Vera introduced some of his respected musical friends. Number one Dutch country singer and fabulous guitar player Wim van de Vliert, the amazing Pam MacBeth from Nashville USA and the bluesy soulful instrumentalist en singer Ian Andersson from Germany. Closing the show is the 12 piece soul- and funkband Checkpoint Charlie including the Holland Horns who recently toured Europe with Percy Sledge.
All participants, personnel and the theater provided services without any cost so all of the money raised that day will go directly to the nationale charity for Haiti.
